The Firm

Proximal Consulting is an extremely successful and established firm whose core work area is producing detailed KYC (Know Your Customer) due diligence background reports on individuals and companies for our clients. Our reports are based on in-house research, using methodologies we have developed over the last eighteen years.

The Role

We are seeking to recruit new team members whose role will be to carry out detailed investigative research on individuals and companies mainly located in Mandarin speaking and/or Arabic speaking countries. You will then analyse your research findings, and write high quality client reports based on that research.

The research will involve utilizing Mandarin and/or Arabic language source material and presenting findings in a written report in English.

You will be working alongside our existing team members who have a variety of language skills.

The Person

You will be fluent in Mandarin and/or Arabic and be able to produce high quality written reports in English. Proven additional language skills in other languages would be an advantage.

You will be a graduate (but we are also open to hearing from applicants who feel their particular skills and experiences outweigh their academic record). You will be hard-working and will need a high degree of accuracy, an inquisitive mind and the ability to obtain and analyse research findings. You should be able to summarize complex issues in a reader friendly style. You should have a passion for writing and presenting ideas and be able to take responsibility for your work product.

Ideally you will have relevant experience for this role, but extensive training and support is given to candidates who we believe have the potential to succeed.


This role is office based in our premises near Marlborough, Wiltshire thus you must live within commuting distance of this location. Free parking is available at our offices.


The starting salary for this role is between £18,000 and £25,000 depending on experience. The role is full time.
